JimBo Gave $400 to Key Architect of Bush Economic Policy

Just in case you're interested in this sort of thing, it's been pointed out that Bowden in 2002 made a $400 campaign contribution to then-congressman Rob Portman, who later served as U.S. Trade Representative and director of the Office of Management and Budget under President Bush. A quick couple searches don't reveal any other contributions.

I try to keep politics out of the baseball blogging, so I'll refrain from any snarky remarks like, "heck of a job with that trade deficit, Robby!" or "good thing we had Rob Portman around to get that budget deficit fixed!" or "quick: which is the bigger collapse? Felipe Lopez or the economy under the Bush adminstration?"

Hat tip to commenter Kenny.
