Well, add Tim Redding to the list of guys this 102-loss team thinks they don't need. Maybe they'll resign him for a little less than he'd get in arb and save a couple hundred thousand bucks, but more likely Redding will get the picture and get the heck out of Dodge. That's what I'd do. Who needs this?
Your Washington Nationals starting rotation, if the season started today would be: John Lannan, Scott Olsen, Collin Balester, Garrett Mock, Jason Bergmann, and Shawn Hill. Throw Shairon Martis and Jordan Zimermann in the mix at some point, but on Opening Day I think your starting five has to come from that group.
And two years for Willie Harris? I'm glad he'll be back, but two years? Dunno why that's necessary. They better hope he doesn't fall off the cliff at age 31.

Umm, yeah. Great. Rotation is really shaping up. Can't wait for the season to start.
If they don't sign anyone (which is a distinct possibility), and they head into the season with that rotation, how many losses do you think we are looking at next year?
I would say the Nationals as they are currently constructed, even with Teixeira, are a 100-loss team. Maybe worse. That rotation is bad, but the bullpen is BRUTAL. The offense would be better, but not enough to make up for what would be a truly awful pitching team.
