Nationals Blogger Fantasy Baseball Draft Results

Forget the NL East. The real bragging rights on the line this year are in the inaugural Nationals blogger fantasy baseball smackdown! Playing are Kristen from We've Got Heart, Hendo from Nationals Pride, Dave and Cheryl from Nationals News Network, Sean from from DC Sports Plus, Kenny G. from The Musings of Kenny G., me, and as a representative of the peanut gallery we have frequent Natmosphere commenter T.J. Oh yeah, FJB's got these mopes smoked.

It's a head-to-head roto league using the following categories: R, HR, RBI, TB, AVG, OBP, NSB, W, L, SV, BB, K, ERA, WHIP. b) i had NOTHING to do with drafting it!

Unfortunately, I had to move stuff for my great aunt at the last minute, so I couldn't make the draft. We'll see how that turns out.

FYI, Sluggers is Kenny G from the Musings of Kenny G/DC Sports Fan and VORP 10 Engage is TJ, a fairly regular commenter throughout the Natmosphere.

Sean--thanks for the update. I hope people don't mind me publicizing the draft results. In my mind this was kind of the point, to make it a public competition and topic of discussion on the blogs, like a mini-Tout Wars, but I realized yesterday that I didn't really ask.

Also, literally there were only 2 of us drafting live, and with only 90 seconds to make a pick it was all I could do to keep track of who had been taken. Somehow, I ended up with a very Bowden-esque roster full of corner OFs and 1Bs. I think I'm 5 deep at RF, 4 deep at 1B, and have no back up SS.

wow..Jermaine Dye and Vernon Wells AFTER Eligah Dukes is drafted?? Steven, I thought you were smarter, CC Sabathia with your 2nd pick should be considered a definite reach.

I have a feeling that between Harden, Wood, Marmol, Beckett and Dempster, I might not hit the minimum IP requirements some weeks...

Hey if you're going to heckle my picks you should be tearing into me for letting ARod fall all the way to Hendo in the SIXTH ROUND.

I'm ok with Sabathia there. We'll see, but with wins and losses counting for so much I think that's not going to be my problem pick.
