Listened to about 3 minutes of this before I had to pull the plug. And that was being charitable on my part. When your "umm, uh" per second ratio is greater than Daniel Cabrera's WHIP, I strongly recommend you don't quit your day jobs.
Assuming you have day jobs, that is. If you don't, then I suppose this is a better (and cheaper) option than drinking yourself into a stupor on your couch.
Steve, you seem to have made progress with the "ahhhhs". It is appreciated.
God, if that's the case I'm glad I never tried to listen to earlier editions of this podcast!
Mark my words, the Nationals will end up eating a major portion of Pudge Rodriguez's contract. This type of transaction is a trademark of poorly run franchises. They don't like to spend money, yet when they do they usually pour it down a rat hole. That's the case here.
Phil--there's a decent chance you're right. but short of going back in time and drafting Jonathan Lucroy instead of Steve Souza, what do you suggest they do for 2010?
@anon--you got me, I'm not a professional radio personality. It takes me a couple minutes to get going cuz I'm usually fixing the audio while talking at the beginning. If you hang on a little longer I think you'll notice it gets a little smoother when I'm not fiddling and talking at the same time.
Anyway, you can listen to Byron Kerr if you want. He never ums and ahs.
Steven
Nice pod cast. The point about the timing of the deal with the Yankees absolutely changed where my mind was going on that deal.
Thing is the market for 2nd base and short are about as exciting as the catchers market. It's hard to imagine us doing much better finding solutions there.
And don't make excuses to anon. What an odd set of posts.
Um, uhh, perhaps you could um, try starting the recording uhh, after you've already been um, talking for umm, a few minutes? Did you never notice how the pros are constantly saying things more than once? Remember, no one is hanging on your every word.
It is amazing how the biggest ass holes are always the ones who comment under anonymous.
I love the podcasts and keep up the good work.

Agreed. Nothing says 'Real Man' like hiding your name.
What if you hide your real name under a pseudonym like Ben or MacG? Does that make you a Real Man or just a Pseudo Man? Well?
As the host of this site, I think this thread has run its course.
